Burnout is a common human experience that can affect anyone. Those who work high-stress jobs with long hours, such as healthcare professionals, teachers, retail management, service industry employees, and corporate executives are particularly susceptible.
Additionally, stay-at-home parents, who often juggle numerous responsibilities without adequate time for self-maintenance, can also experience it. No matter the circumstance, burnout bubbles up when pressure and stress overwhelm your ability to create harmony between work and everyday life.

You feel you never have enough time to get everything done, overwhelmed, can't sleep, constant headaches, difficulty concentrating, tense muscles, everything is coming at you at once, and where do you even start?!
This is not just being tired. This is complete and utter physical and emotional exhaustion. When you go to bed tired, you wake up tired, and you just can’t seem to get good rest.
Someone says something in an off-putting tone, a minor inconvenience to your plans, or your husband didn't put his dishes in the dishwasher...again; trigger you to snap like it's the end of the world?!?
You often feel a sense of numbness and emptiness inside. This leaves you feeling isolated and alone, as if you're merely going through the motions rather than participating in life.
Often when we Burnout, we lose our passion for the thing that used to drive us and define us. Apathy and disconnection are ways of distancing ourselves from the thing we loved that has turned against us.
It may not even actually be subpar performance; it might just feel like it. But the reality is that often, when we’re exhausted, we’re disconnected and apathetic - we aren’t as good at doing what we do as a result.
